FAQ

How much does a YouTuber with 1 million subscribers earn in India?

Indian YouTube channels with about 1 million subscribers that we track got a median of 43 lakh views a month (53 channels, measured up to 3 November 2026). For entertainment and vlog channels, the most common kind, that is roughly ₹1,10,000 to ₹3,50,000 a month from YouTube ads if those views are long videos. Shorts views pay a small fraction of that, so a channel that mostly posts Shorts earns much less. Finance and tech channels earn several times more. Brand deals are paid on top.

Why do channels the same size earn so differently?

Views, not subscribers, pay. The middle half of these channels got between 17 lakh and 1.2 crore views a month. The niche sets the ad rate: finance and tech pay several times what entertainment does. Shorts views pay far less than long videos, and total views include Shorts, so a Shorts-heavy channel earns toward the bottom of each range.

How are these numbers worked out?

We take every Indian channel our YouTube analyzer tracks with two snapshots 20 to 60 days apart, scale the views it gained to 30 days, and take the median for channels in this size band. Ad income uses our per-niche Indian ad rates per 1,000 views. These are estimates: no public tool can see a channel's real AdSense earnings.
